Travel Birth Doula

From $2,500

The same care as our birth doula package, with your doula traveling to wherever you give birth. Travel, lodging and meals are added at cost, and we go over every detail with you up front.

Postpartum support

Daytime and Overnight Care

Care from our postpartum doulas and newborn care specialists in your home. Additional hours can be added to any package. Postpartum care isn't currently available in Amarillo.

Birth doula pricing is the same in Houston, Galveston, Austin and San Antonio. In Amarillo, the birth doula package is $1,550.

Paying for care

Retainers, Payment Plans and Benefits

Birth clients pay a retainer at booking to reserve their doula, and the remaining balance is due by 36 weeks. We offer payment plans and superbills, and many families use HSA or FSA funds or employer benefits like Carrot, Maven and Progyny. We also offer discounts for military families, first responders and educators.

Postpartum Doula, Night Nurse or Night Nanny?

Many families searching for a "night nurse" in Houston are looking for exactly what a postpartum doula or newborn care specialist does: overnight newborn care so parents can sleep. A night nurse is a licensed nurse and provides medical care. A night nanny cares for the baby but usually doesn't support the parents' recovery. Our postpartum doulas care for your baby and for you, with feeding support, recovery care and reassurance.

Some of our postpartum doulas and newborn care specialists are also licensed nurses. When you book through Nurture & Nest, you're booking them in their role as a postpartum doula or newborn care specialist, not as a nurse.
