There is something incredibly special about the early days with a new baby. I believe families deserve to feel cared for, supported, and surrounded by a calm presence as they settle into this new season.

For more than four decades, caring for children and supporting families has been woven throughout my life. I bring that experience into each home with a steady, nurturing approach, creating space for parents to rest, recover, bond with their baby, and grow more confident in their new rhythm.

My Journey Into Birth Work

My love for caring for children began long before I became a postpartum doula. Over the past 40 years, I have worked with children and families in many different settings, including daycare centers, family protective services, and alongside teen mothers.

Through those experiences, I saw just how meaningful compassionate, consistent support can be for both parents and children.

In 2021, after 20 years of working in the public sector with the State of Texas, I began looking for a new way to give back to my community and support families more personally. I completed my postpartum doula training and began caring for mothers and babies in their homes.

It felt like a natural continuation of the work I had spent so much of my life doing: caring for children while also supporting the people caring for them.

My Approach

I believe the postpartum period deserves to be treated as a time of recovery, connection, and adjustment, not something families should simply have to push through alone.

My approach is calm, nurturing, and centered around the individual needs of each family. Sometimes that means caring for baby so a tired parent can rest. Other times it may look like offering reassurance, helping a family become more comfortable with newborn care, or simply being a steady presence during a season filled with change.

I have always believed there is profound wisdom in children and that caring for them is a gift. As a postpartum doula, my goal is to help create an environment where parents feel cared for too. When parents have the opportunity to rest, heal, and feel supported, it creates space for the entire family to find its footing and build strong foundations together.
